New servers

Forbidden is upgrading its FORscene infrastructure again, this time with the addition of two new servers to the internet backbone at Maidenhead. These add around 8,000 hours of video capacity for broadcast and professional FORscene customers.

Incremental search

One of FORscene's more popular uses in broadcast post-production is for frame accurate video logging. FORscene's ability to search for videos which match particular metadata has now been supplemented by a new real time incremental search in the logging window - matching clips within a video are displayed in real time as search terms are typed in.

A recent server upgrade doubled the number of active broadcast customers FORscene can support. Now, a client side upgrade is being rolled out to FORscene Load Linux boxes around the world, doubling again the number of active users FORscene can support.
